The Foundation for Research and Technology – Hellas, FORTH was founded in 1983.

The Institute of Electronic Structure and Laser IESL employs over 250 people, distributed into 3 divisions:

PRAXI Network is an established technology transfer organization with long-standing experience in assisting SMEs and research organisations throughout Greece to achieve cross-border technological cooperation.
It is a distinct administrative unit operating within the Foundation for Research and Technology-Hellas (FORTH), and started out in 1991 as a partnership between FORTH and SEV Hellenic Federation of Enterprises.
